Steps to install Indic fonts(Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu) in your Sony Xperia phones

There are two options Try any:

Option 1: Flash a new ROM

Check the link, click here

Option 2:

In order to replace the system fonts in Xperia phones, you need to have the root access of your phone. In Samsung phones, they can change the fonts using an app called Fontomizer. Rooting may void your warranty. However there is an option to unroot the phone. Sony Xperia phones are now available with both Gingerbread and Ice cream sandwitch. All 2011 Xperia phones were promised to get Ice cream sandwich. It was optional to upgrade the Ice cream sandwich since ICS can affect the performance of the phone with RAM 512 MB and processor 1 GHz.
I had recently updated my phone to Ice cream sandwich as the upgrade was made available to my phone Neo V during the first rollup. Always Xperia owners in India had issue with the display of Indic fonts. I think they have added more Indic fonts in Ice cream sandwich upgrade. However they still has to add fonts like Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu etc.

Until then, you need to root your Xperia phone to add your font. I will try to give a workaround for replacing fonts in your phone. I am giving steps for ICS 4.0.3 since I have tried the steps in that OS only. If your OS is a Gingerbread, you may try to root your gingerbread(steps is available in inernet) and try the rest of the steps.

1) Root your phone

     1. READ THIS PROPERLY before rooting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24887481#post24887481
     2. after you have finished downloading( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24847709&postcount=18 ) , extract in C:\
     3. enable usb debugging and allow unknown sources on phone
     4. connect phone to pc
     5. click on runme.BAT
     6. follow onscreen instruction
     7. Phone will boot many times
     8. the computer screen will read : PRESS ANY KEY.
9 PRESS ANY KEY ONLY AFTER YOUR PHONE HAS COMPLETELY STARTED. (i.e the      notification bar reads memory card connected )
    10. when the window on pc closes u are done rooting :)

2) Install Type fresh app from android market(requires rooting)

3) Download Malayalam fonts from : http://wiki.smc.org.in/Fonts#Meera  ....extension of the file downloaded will be .ttf...move the file to any of the folder in your phone....You can find sites to download other languages in google search.

4) Open Type Fresh, backup your fonts

5)Click on Droidsans.ttf, and select the font location(folder to which you downloaded font is located), click on 'apply fonts' and reboot your phone.

6) Now the Malayalam font will work on your facebook and browsers

I need your valuable suggestions to improve this post and also put comment if this method works...
You may also comment if you need any help....

Note: I will not be responsible if you do anything wrongly and brick your phone. You need to read and follow every steps carefully..
